In times of automatic washing machines and effective washing agents, it would seem that laundry should not cause anyone problems. In the meantime, the washing of reusable pads can effectively discourage not one person from using them.
We answer the most common question and fears that accompany many women before buying their first reusable pads and Loffme panty liners.
Do the reusable pads wash well?
Yes, they will. Loffme sanitary pads and panty liners wash well when done as recommended. It should be done without the use of aggressive washing agents and stain removers.
Will dirty pads smell unpleasant?
No. The unpleasant smell of used sanitary products is due to the development of microorganisms in their structures. Loffme sanitary pads and panty liners are made from a special barrier material which prevents the multiplication of bacteria and fungi and thus prevents the formation of unpleasant odors.
Should I soak the sanitary pads before washing?
Soaking is not necessary. However, it is advisable to rinse the Loffme sanitary towels in cold water before washing, which will prevent blood from becoming entrained in the surface and structures of the material.
Can I wash my Loffme sanitary towels together with normal laundry?
Yes, Loffme sanitary towels can be washed by hand or in the washing machine at 30, 40, 60, and, if necessary, 90 degrees. Before washing, you should fasten Velcro fasteners so that they do not pull off other clothes. Do not use fabric softener or conditioner to wash the sanitary pads, they may reduce the absorbency of the material.
Is it better to wash the sanitary towels by hand or in the washing machine?
Pads should be washed in such a way as to be comfortable. We wash them by hand during the period, in soapy water. After your period we wash them all at once in the washing machine.
What if there is a stain left?
If for some reason there is a stain left on a Loffme sanitary pad or liner, it should be soaked for a few minutes in very hot water or water with vinegar. This will not only remove the permanent dirt but will also restore the full absorbency of the material.
Does the color wash, or do the pads dye the laundry?
The color of the sanitary pads is durable and will not stain the laundry or underwear. With long use and frequent washing, it can only fade slightly.
Does it take a long time to dry the sanitary towels?
Loffme sanitary towels are very absorbent but also very thin. After washing, they dry in 2-3 hours at room temperature and even faster on a moderately heated radiator. Tumble drier is not recommended – it may accelerate the lifespan of the pad.
Can I iron the sanitary towels?
Ironing is not recommended.
Will they wear out after a few uses and you will need to buy new ones?
Reusable Loffme sanitary pads and panty liners have a 2-year manufacturer’s intensive use warranty. After this period, there is no reason to throw them away. They can continue to be used for as long as they are in use.

Instructions for washing reusable pads and panty liners
Loffme pads can be washed by hand or in automatic washing machines with washing powder at 30, 40, or 60 degrees (86, 104, 140 Fahrenheit), and occasionally also at 90 degrees C (194 Fahrenheit). They do not require soaking and can be cleaned without the use of aggressive washing agents and stain removers.
The innovative, barrier material of which Loffme sanitary pads are made prevents the multiplication of bacteria and fungi in their interior, so there is no need to add disinfectant powders to the laundry, as is the case with other reusable sanitary pads.
How to wash reusable pads?
Rinse the pad under cold water.
Wash the pad by hand in soapy water or in a washing machine without a fabric softener or conditioner.
Dry in the open air or on a radiator.
